We are partnered with an established financial services institution in search of a DevOps Engineer to join their team. Working closely with the front office trading team, you will be responsible for:
- Overseeing the maintenance of OneTick time series database
- Leading efforts to enhance automation and developing scripts.
- Handling the configuration, packaging, and deployment of application components based on developer-provided software and documentation.
- Facilitate the onboarding of applications to common platforms, such as the Observability Testing Framework and CI/CD platforms.
Requirements:
- At least 8 years of experience in DevOps roles in Front Office / Banking / Financial Institutions
- Proficient in managing Linux environments, including software package management, text processing, filesystem oversight, and environment maintenance. Skilled in investigating log files.
- Experience with OneTick application for time series databases, service configuration, graph queries, and administrative tasks.
- Experienced in scripting languages such as Bash, PowerShell, and Python.
- Capable of working with both Linux and Windows infrastructures.
- Familiar with tools like Grafana, ElasticSearch, fluent-bit, and OpenTelemetry.
- Hands-on experience with continuous integration and deployment tools, including Jenkins, BitBucket, GitLab, Octopus, and Maven.
- Understanding of various communication stacks, including RabbitMQ, Kafka, WebSocket, and WebSphere MQ.
- Background in working with distributed architectures and systems designed for high throughput and low latency.
- Knowledgeable in Agile practices and tools such as SAFe, JIRA, and Confluence.
