A leading financial services provider is seeking an experienced Application Support Analyst to manage and support a financial platform across the Asia-Pacific region. This role involves overseeing production incidents, handling service requests, troubleshooting issues, and working with various internal and external stakeholders to resolve platform-related challenges.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the subject matter expert on the financial platform, providing support to internal users.
- Manage the lifecycle of production incidents and service requests, including ticket creation, progress tracking, and collaboration with internal teams for data handling.
- Troubleshoot production issues, conduct root cause analysis, implement workarounds, and collaborate with stakeholders for problem resolution.
- Develop and maintain operational documentation and incident management processes related to the platform.
- Ensure the platform is properly validated after scheduled and unscheduled updates or patches.
- Coordinate internal teams during disaster recovery exercises and events.
- Implement configuration changes to the platform as needed.
- Identify and escalate potential risks to relevant parties promptly.
- Contribute to disaster recovery exercises and system restoration efforts.
- Undertake other duties as required.
Qualifications:
- A diploma or degree in a relevant field such as Computer Science, Information Technology, Finance, or Economics.
- At least 9 years of experience in application or system support, preferably within the financial services sector.
- Solid understanding of financial operations such as supplier finance, accounts receivable, dynamic discounting, and related back-office functions like funding and payments.
- Experience with financial platform technologies is a plus.
- Strong background in enterprise application support, including working closely with development teams, infrastructure teams, and business users.
- Proficiency in scripting languages like DOS or Shell Scripting.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and presentation abilities.
- Capable of assessing complex issues and making sound decisions.
- A proactive, self-motivated approach with a strong sense of ownership for delivering results.
- Ability to work independently while maintaining high standards of quality.
