IT Infrastructure Manager

Our client, a well-known financial insitution is looking for an IT Infrastrucrure Architect to join their Cyber Security team in Singapore. This role is ideal for a leader with deep expertise in IT infrastructure architecture, capable of designing, managing, and optimizing complex infrastructure systems while ensuring security and operational excellence. The successful candidate will lead a team of IT Infrastructure professionals, drive infrastructure architecture strategies, and contribute to enhancing our security posture.

Key Responsibilities:

·         Design, implement, and oversee the architecture of the organization's IT infrastructure, ensuring it is scalable, secure, and aligned with business needs

• Oversee the management and maintenance of the organization's IT infrastructure, ensuring optimal performance, reliability, and security.

• Collaborate closely with the Cyber Security team to implement and manage security configurations across the infrastructure.

·         Act as a technical escalation point, resolving complex issues and guiding the team through architectural challenges for eg. resolve issues when specialists, such as network engineers, are unable to do so.

• Lead and mentor a team of IT professionals, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, collaboration, and operational excellence.

• Ensure the seamless operation of IT infrastructure, including servers, storage, networking, and cloud services.

• Develop and implement scripts to automate routine tasks, optimize processes, and improve overall infrastructure efficiency.

• Coordinate with various IT teams to manage incidents, troubleshoot issues, and ensure timely resolution of critical problems.

• Manage and optimize cloud services, with a focus on Azure, to support the organization's strategic objectives.

• Maintain comprehensive documentation of infrastructure architectures, configurations, procedures, and incident response protocols.

• Monitor infrastructure performance, identify potential risks, and proactively address them to minimize downtime and enhance security.

• Stay up to date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices to drive innovation within the IT infrastructure.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field.

• Minimum of 8 years of experience in IT infrastructure architecture and management, with a strong operational background.

• Expertise in infrastructure technologies, including servers, networking, storage, and security.

• Proven experience in scripting (e.g., PowerShell, Python) to automate tasks and streamline operations.

• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms, particularly Azure, is highly desirable.

• Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to step in and resolve complex technical issues across different domains.

• Experience leading and managing IT teams, with a focus on driving performance and operational excellence.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

• Certifications in relevant technologies (e.g., Azure, Cisco, CompTIA) are a plus.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience in designing and implementing secure IT infrastructure architectures within a Cyber Security environment.

• Familiarity with ITIL processes and best practices.

• Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities.
