Senior Underwriter, Commercial Insurance Specialty

Financial Performance: Drive the financial success of the commercial business segment for Information/Technology customers by meeting or exceeding goals for rate, growth, profit, retention, and new business.
Underwriting & Negotiation: Underwrite renewals and new business across various coverage areas, such as Package, Property, General Liability, E&O, Auto, Workers' Compensation, and Umbrella/Excess.
Customer Engagement: Meet with customers, agents, and brokers to negotiate coverage, price, financial terms, and service delivery.
Cross-Selling: Participate in cross-selling efforts within Commercial Insurance to expand product offerings.
Team Collaboration: Work closely with other teams, including underwriting associates, customer service, claims, and loss control representatives, to ensure smooth operations and goal achievement.
Pipeline Development: Utilize Salesforce and agency travel to develop and maintain a strong prospect pipeline.

Sales & Negotiation Skills: Strong sales and negotiation capabilities to effectively manage relationships with agents, insureds, and customers.
Experience: A minimum of 5 years in commercial lines underwriting, with a solid understanding of complex account analysis and underwriting for various commercial insurance products.
Relationship Building: Proven ability to build and sustain strong business relationships with agents and insureds.
Communication: Excellent written and oral communication skills, necessary for interactions with clients, agents, and colleagues.
Organization & Detail-Oriented: Ability to manage multiple tasks with a focus on prioritization, organization, and attention to detail.
Team Player: Ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a collaborative environment.
Technical Skills: Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and other business-related software, including Salesforce.
