We're looking for an analytical and detail-oriented professional to join a leading team in a Cat Risk role. This position offers the opportunity to play a pivotal part in catastrophe modelling, accumulation monitoring, and portfolio analysis, working closely with underwriting teams to deliver critical insights and analytics.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and produce pre-bind modelling, ensuring underwriting teams have the necessary analytics and model outputs.
- Assist with monthly roll-up production, explaining results and portfolio drivers to relevant stakeholders.
- Support data quality management and contribute to detailed process guidelines for the team and outsourced partners.
- Collaborate with underwriting teams and deliver reporting and MI, as well as ad hoc reporting as needed.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance Exposure Management workflows and reporting.
- Contribute to model validation, upgrades, and ongoing team development initiatives.
Ideally you will have:
- Familiarity with Exposure Management systems (Sequel Impact, RMS, etc.) and a strong command of Excel.
- Knowledge of programming languages (SQL, Python, R) is a plus.
- Previous experience in catastrophe modelling is desirable but not required as full training will be provided.
- Strong analytical skills, a proactive mindset, and the ability to communicate effectively across teams.
- PowerBI experience is beneficial.
