Established Banking group is currently hiring for a Prudential Regulatory Change & Control Lead to join their London team. This role will manage a team of 3 and you will be responsible for implementing external mandated changes to calculations and improve documentation, processes and controls, covering COREP capital and liquidity returns submitted to the Prudential Regulation Authority. The role will also have close involvement in a remediation project to enhance controls and processes across the regulatory reporting team
Responsibilities:
- Overall ownership of identifying areas for change by reviewing processes with the Regulatory Reporting team and advise on the prioritisation of any enhancements
- Work closely with the Regulatory Reporting BAU team to implement improvements to reporting processes
- Work closely with the Head of Regulatory Policy to ensure accurate delivery of new regulatory returns and reports, ensuring appropriate involvement of relevant colleagues
- Provide advice on IRB project developments, including an understanding of requirements and performing user acceptance testing to ensure smooth transition from project to BAU
- Work with Regulatory Change & Control Analysts to perform controls and sample testing to test compliance with regulatory reporting standards on an ongoing basis; covering the all group businesses
- Key point of contract for all key stakeholders, in particular Finance, Risk and Treasury to ensure appropriate reviews are undertaken and sufficient challenge is provided
- Support production of prudential and statistical regulatory returns (PRA110, LCR, COREP, RegData and Bank of England statistical) as required to ensure returns are submitted accurately and in line with deadlines
Requirements:
- Extensive Prudential regulatory reporting experience and detailed knowledge of prudential capital (credit risk) regulations - Essential
- Proven experience and appetite for implementing change within a strong control environment - Essential
- Experience of managing a small to medium sized team - Essential
- Knowledge of prudential liquidity regulations - Desirable
- Advanced Excel & Powerpoint Skills
- Qualified Accountant - Highly Desirable
