James Rydon promoted to Executive Director of Specialist Disciplines

We’re thrilled to announce James Rydon’s promotion to Executive Director of Specialist Disciplines at Eames Consulting.

James, who joined #TeamEames in 2015, has been a driving force in the growth and success of our actuarial division. Over the past eight years, his career has been a story of consistent achievement, inspirational leadership, and commitment to excellence.

From his early days as a Senior Consultant, James quickly rose through the ranks—becoming Partner, Associate Director, Director, and now Executive Director. His leadership has been instrumental in shaping the UK actuarial team into a thriving practice, achieving consecutive record-breaking years and delivering outstanding results.

James has not only been a high-performing consultant but also a dedicated mentor and advocate for growth. He’s supported the career progression of others, championing two female colleagues to Partner and inducting three team members into the Millions Club, including the fastest-ever to achieve this milestone at Eames Group.

Under James’ leadership, the division has consistently exceeded expectations, doubling its size and delivering a standout year in 2023. His focus on culture, training, and development ensures that Eames continues to deliver a best-in-class service to both clients and candidates.

As Executive Director, James’ remit expands to include our broader specialist disciplines, including actuarial, catastrophe risk, claims & operations, risk & compliance, data science, finance and broking & underwriting.
